Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 May 2026
These terms govern use of the Ask Ewan website and paid products (including the Parent Report and Clearing Intensive where offered). By using Ask Ewan you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who we are
Ask Ewan is operated as an independent UK-focused education decision-support product. Contact details appear on our contact page. For data protection matters, see our Privacy policy.
2. Service scope
Ask Ewan provides information, tools, and (where purchased) personalised reports based on public data and structured inputs you supply. Output is decision-support only and does not replace professional careers guidance, regulated financial advice, or university / UCAS advice. See Disclaimers.
3. Accounts and eligibility
Ask Ewan is intended for parents, carers, and students aged roughly 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit.
4. Acceptable use
- No unlawful use, harassment, or attempts to compromise our systems.
- No scraping or automated extraction beyond reasonable personal use unless we agree in writing.
- No misrepresentation of Ask Ewan outputs as official UCAS, university, or government statements.
5. Intellectual property
Ask Ewan branding, software, and original content are protected. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use outputs you lawfully purchase for your household's decisions. Redistribution of paid reports for commercial use is not permitted without consent.
6. Paid products, delivery, and refunds
Paid products are described at point of sale. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Refund terms are set out in our Refund policy.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ask Ewan is not liable for any loss arising from decisions you make after using the service, including university or apprenticeship choices, financial outcomes, or missed opportunities. Government statistics and surveys have known limitations; see Methodology.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under English law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections applicable to you.
